Ruto Opens His Palatial Karen Home to Kibra Residents

Ruto brings Mariga's campaign at his Karen home

DP Willaim Ruto hosts a delegation of grassroot leaders from Kibra constituency

As campaign season for the Kibra by-election hits up, Deputy resident William Ruto opened his Karen residence to locals from the constituency.

DP Ruto invited the Kibra residents to his Karen home where they held talks on supporting Jubilee Party Candidate McDonald Mariga.

"Hosted a delegation of grassroots leaders from Kibra constituency and elected leaders in Nairobi county to drum up support for the Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga, Karen Residence," Dr Ruto said.

In the past few weeks, DP Ruto has been drumming up support for the Jubilee’s candidate in Kibra which is an ODM backyard.

He has challenged Kibra residents to vote for Mariga if they wish to enjoy development initiatives from the government.

Politics of Kibra

According to Dr Ruto Mariga’s victory would give the Government ample opportunity to implement development projects in the area without party politics.

The projects we have done in Kibra faced a lot of opposition; we could not work freely with the late Ken Okoth because his party would question his loyalty,” DP Ruto said.

Mariga from the onset was dubbed a Ruto candidate with opinion divided on his transition from the soccer pitch to the political ring.

He got 500 out of 600 marks, to edge out 15 other aspirants in the race for the Jubilee ticket, in interviews conducted by the party’s election board.
