Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji on Friday appointed a team of prosecutors as investigations into the Dusit Complex terror attack begun.

Haji through a statement, stated that the team would offer guidance to those in charge of the investigations on a progressive basis to ensure that the process is efficient.
"I have appointed a team of prosecutors to offer technical guidance to the investigations on a continuous basis so as to ensure that the investigations are meticulous and fast tracked and those that must be prosecuted are held to account as soon as the investigations are complete,” read a part of the statement.
The DPP further explained that the team had already been ordered to obtain custodial orders from the court.
Suspects taken to court
Five suspects had been earlier arraigned in court in connection with the Tuesday attack.
Among the five who appeared before Principal Magistrate Martha Mutuku, was a Canadian national under various applications.
The culprits were identified as Joel Nganga Wainaina, Oliver Kanyango Muthee, Gladys Kaari Justus, Guleid Abdihakim and Osman Ibrahim.
Judge Mutuku ordered that the suspects would remain in police custody for 30 days to facilitate investigations into the matter.
