Drama as flying squad finally arrest Keroche CEO Tabitha Karanja

Keroche CEO Tabitha Karanja has finally been arrested in a dramatic operation led by DCI officers attached to the elite Flying Squad.

Karanja had been holed up in her offices at the Keroche Industries headquarters in Naivasha saying she would not surrender to the police officers who had been sent to arrest her.

DPP Noordin Haji had on Thursday evening ordered her immediate arrest alongside her husband Joseph Karanja over allegations of evading Sh11 billion taxes.

After an 18-hour stand off, Karanja was finally arrested, although it was not immediately clear at which police station she would be held.

Media reports indicate the officers had not yet obtained a warrant for her arrest but finally got one on Thursday morning.
