There was drama in Narok County during president Uhuru Kenyattas visit over the weekend after Deputy President William Ruto clashed with Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ng’eno.

Trouble began when Mr Ng'eno, who recently joined Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), accused the DP of sidelining some Kalenjin leaders.Supporters of the legislator began shouting at Governor Samuel Tunai and National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale forcing them to cut their speeches.

When the DP rose to speak, a section of the gathering, who were believed to be Mr Ngeno supporters, attempted to boo him.Ruto remained calm and switched to Kalenjin dialect where he calmed the supporters and urged them to vote for Jubilee if they wanted to remain in government."I will not allow the people of Emurrua Dikir to be outside the Government when I am the Deputy President. Can you raise your hands and show Kenya that Emurua Dikirr and Trans Mara are in Jubilee," Ruto told the gathering.

The DP also vowed to come back in the area and face off with the Emurua Dikirr MP, who has been criticising him in the recent past. “I am going to come back. I have seen we have a lot to do here. We shall come and face off squarely,” Ruto stated.Despite the drama, Mr Ngeno told the president that they were behind him adding that they had a problem with Ruto.
