Speaking to a local daily, one of the detectives revealed that they were almost done with the probe before forwarding the file to Mr Keriakio Tobiko for action. The officers are interested in a result slip issued in Joho's name indicating that he sat for his KCSE exam in 1992 at serani secondary school.

He used the same to be admitted at the University of Nairobi (UoN) for a Bcom degree (marketing). After recording a statement at the Criminal investigation offices (DCI) in Mombasa, the Governor once again alleged that president Uhuru Kenyatta was behind his woes.He directed the Head of State to use the same energy being used to fight him in solving drought issues in the country."President Uhuru is using too much energy to frustrate me.“I am telling him to convert that energy to reducing the price of maize flour, to fighting corruption and improving the lives of Kenyans," joho told exuberant gathering outside his offices.

The Governor exuded confidence and assured his supporters that he would be on the ballot box in the upcoming polls.

Siaya Senator James Orengo, who was among the lawyers who represented Joho, stated that they would do everything to ensure that nobody touched Joho.

“We will do everything possible to ensure that no one dares touch him… We went in there and saw propaganda and lies. We will win this case,” Orengo said. The Mombasa Governor was accompanied by his supporters and ODM leaders as he recorded his statement.
