Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has now claimed that it was president Uhuru Kenyattas Jubilee that forced him out of the party.

Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, Kabogo stated that the Jubilee nominations were marred by irregularities but Jubilee failed to act even after raising the complains leaving him with no option.

"It is strange that even the returning officers who were trained for the nominations were not the ones present during the exercise," Kabogo stated.He alleged that Jubilee party dumped him adding that he had no option but to run as an independent.

"I did not dump Jubilee but Jubilee dumped me," Kabogo affirmed. The Governor stated that he would still campaign for President Kenyatta as he seeks a second term in office.

The Kiambu Governor on Sunday announced that he would run as independent on grounds that the nominations were interfered with.

"Having consulted my wife, Kiambu residents and friends I hereby announce my independent candidature...I will be on the ballot. At the end of the day, we are one people with the same dream," Kabogo said.
