NASA co- principal Kalonzo Musyoka has now claimed that they allowed ODM leader Raila Odinga to be the coalition flagbearer after pleading with him and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.

Speaking in an interview, Musyoka said that his candidature with Mudavadi would have guaranteed victory for NASA during the August 8 election.The wiper party leader disclosed that they agreed to support Odinga after promising he would serve as a one term president.

"Everyone knew that Kalonzo-Mudavadi pair was to send Jubilee home. Raila pleaded with us to support him promising to serve for only one term and we said yes so long he keeps the promise,” the former vice president said.Kalonzo's latest announcement could pose doubts on whether he believes Odinga would beat president Uhuru Kenyatta in the upcoming polls. He also noted that he had picked Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto to be the NASA flagbearer.
