The Senator stated that he will also not be defending his senatorial seat during the poll.

Following the fallout, Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria tried to shed light on what could have transpired between the two leaders.

Mr. Kuria on Monday sensationally claimed that Musyoka double crossed Muthama, leading to his fallout.

The Gatundu South MP alleged that the Wiper leader received Sh1 Billion from the National Super Alliance (NASA) to become ODM leader Raila Odinga’s running mate in the upcoming election.

“Hell hath no fury than a Johnstone Muthama cheated out of a deal even for 10k let alone the Ksh 1 Billion that Kalonzo got for stepping down for Raila,” Kuria claimed.

He added that:  “But then Karma is a b****. Muthama did the same to Kalonzo in 2008 when they were joining PNU. Ni system ya kuoshana”.

Earlier Kalonzo had claimed that Muthama, who was part of the NASA technical committee involved in picking the Opposition’s Presidential candidate, had betrayed him.

The former Vice President stated: “I am fully aware of what you have been doing behind my back with Orengo to predetermine the outcome of Cord presidential primaries and deny me the ticket. You must convince Wiper supporters that the ticket you are pushing for can deliver victory for Cord”.

Mr. Kalonzo even predicted a punishment for Muthama.

“The punishment you’ll get from these people will be worse than the humiliation you got when your trousers were torn in Parliament,” he said.

On Monday Muthama highlighted that since he will not be defending his seat, he will focus all his energy to campaign for Mr. Odinga.
