The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) disputes tribunal yesterday nullified her nomination as Wiper's Machakos governor candidate after finding it irregular.

This was after an MCA filed a petition arguing she belongs to Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) at the time she defected to wiper.

He argued Ndeti became a member of Wiper on April 6, a day after the defection deadline, and that her nomination was therefore irregular and unlawful.

Wavinya then moved to High court challenging the verdict and the courts has heard her cry.

The High Court today suspended the IEBC verdict disqualifying her from the Machakos governor race.

The High Court then issued orders to IEBC to include Wavinya Ndeti's name in the gazette notice of candidates vying to be published.

Wavinya who is a staunch critic of Machakos governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua is now free to contest the seat and give the incumbent a run for his money.

Wiper leader, and Nasa deputy flagbearer, Kalonzo Muysoka had claimed IEBC was taking orders from Jubilee to bar Wavinya Ndeti from vying for Machakos governor.
