The photo which came to the light hours after the Kiambu Governor declared that he will be vying as an independent candidate for the county’s gubernatorial seat, attracted the attention of many Kenyans.
According to the caption which accompanied the picture, it was insinuated that the Governor Kabogo was asking for forgiveness from the women, days after hurling abuses at them.
Before the Jubilee primaries, Kabogo was accused of insulting women.
In a report by the Star, a Limuru resident identified as Grace Wanjiru stated: “I gave my vote to Waititu because Kabogo insulted us, telling us that he was giving us money to buy inner-wear. He also tells poor residents that when given rice, they view the person who has given them the rice as their ‘god’. This is arrogance and we are fed up
In the nominations Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu embarrassingly defeated the Kiambu Governor.
The legislator garnered a whopping 358,604 votes while Kabogo managed a mere 69,916 votes.
However, Kabogo has since denied claims that he abused women.
