Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has now sought divine intervention from a special revered spiritual leader as he prepares for a tough possible contest with Senator Mike Sonko and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth.
Kidero on Tuesday was blessed at City Hall by Messianic Rabbi Kirt Schneider who was among the spiritual religious leaders who prayed for US President Donald Trump at his Trump Tower ahead of the November 8, 2016 US Election.
Rabbi Schneider who is on a four-day visit to Kenya, met Kidero and several senior county government officials including Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke and prayed for their continued stay in office.
"I am here to pray for the Governor to be re-elected. I will also pray for a peaceful election and unity in the country," Schneider said.
He announced that he will hold a major crusade in Nairobi next year and that he will pray for Kidero to attend the event.

"I am praying that the Lord may see you through so that you can attend the crusade as governor," the Rabbi said.
He is expected to meet 300 priests in Nakuru.
Schneider who is a Rabbi at the Evangelical Christian Congregation Lion of Judah World Outreach Centre was invited by Trump’s campaign team in order to bless him and also advise him shortly before the elections which he eventually won.
