In September 2015, the former CS sued Odinga for after he unleashed a dossier stating that she played a key role in the infamous NYS scandal.In a response filed at High court, the Opposition leaders has demanded that Waiguru answers the questions as ordered by the High Court with regard to her lifestyle.The former prime minister wants the Kirinyanga gubernatorial aspirant to reveal her salary since 2006 to 2015 and the allowances she earned.Odinga noted that the case should be struck out if Waiguru failed to answer the questions as it would deny him a fair trial."I will be greatly prejudiced if these interrogatory questions are not answered as I will not be in a position to sufficiently prepare for trial," Raila said.
On the other hand, Waiguru has now said that Odinga is intruding into her private life and the questions are not related to the defamation case.
"The information sought is malicious and threatens to unnecessarily violate the privacy of minors who are not party in this suit," the former CS said.Waiguru has maintained that Odinga tarnished her name by directly linking her to the loot at NYS.
