Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has given Governor Evans Kidero a one hour ultimatum on the deadly pothole on Mombasa Road that has been the major cause of horrific accidents that have been captured on CCTV cameras.

The pothole is on Mombasa Road near the Vision Plaza.

"I am warning the Nairobi County Government to either fix this deadly pothole within an hour or i do it myself!" Sonko said.

CCTV footage shared on social media captured the chilling moments when two vehicles being driven on the road hitting the potholes before overturning and rolling several times.

Angered Kenyans took to social media to demand the filling of the pothole by the National Transport and Safety Authority before it led to the loss of lives.

Below is one of the CCTV clip.

Sonko and Kidero are locked in a bitter gubernatorial contest for the August elections.

Pollsters have indicated that Sonko is Kidero's main challenger in the gubernatorial contest.

Others in the race include independents Peter Kenneth and Miguna Miguna.
