Esther Passaris hospitalized

Nairobi County Woman Representative Esther Passaris has been hospitalized.

In a video she posted on her official twitter account, the mother of two said that she kept details of her surgery away from the public because she wanted to be sure she was out of danger.

“#PostSurgery I kept details of my Thyroidectomy low key until I knew I was out of danger. I thank God for faith that reassured me that my work is not yet complete. I remain eager to learn and serve Him with humility.#GodisLove #IodineDeficiency #SaltMatters #OptimumNutrition,” wrote Passaris on twitter.

In the video, Mama County said that she was admitted on 9th January and she underwent surgery the following day to remove both thyroids.

She added that the surgery went on well and she was thankful to her doctors and nurses at Nairobi Hospital for working tirelessly to make sure she was comfortable and well.

Governor Nyong’o rushed to hospital

The news of her surgery comes a day after Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o was rushed to hospital following a sudden drop in his blood pressure while he attended an event presided over by Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The Governor was rushed to Aga Khan University Hospital in Kisumu and according to the Medical Superintendent Dr. Sam Oula, Nyongo was rushed to the facility after he felt uncomfortable during mass at the Uzima University grounds in Kisumu.

“He was brought while feeling dizzy and we have administered the necessary medication. We are still keeping him to monitor for any complications that may arise.” Oula said.
