Fire razes down police camp

A fire razed down the Mucagara Administration Police camp in Gichugu, Kirinyaga county on Sunday night.

OCPD Anthony Mbogo stated that 40 rounds of ammunition were destroyed in the incident.

Elsewhere, families from Huruma slums in Ol Kalou were left counting losses after a fire burnt down their houses.

The incident which happened on Sunday morning, which is suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault left many in the cold.

Residents claimed that some of their property would have been saved if the county government firefighters had arrived on time.
