Ridesharing giant Uber is facing another crisis after their President Jeff Jones, resigned from the company six months after assuming office.

In a statement to Reuters, Jones stated that he could no longer serve the company stating that they held different ideologies.

"I joined Uber because of its mission, and the challenge to build global capabilities that would help the company mature and thrive long term.

"It is now clear, however, that the beliefs and approach to leadership that have guided my career are inconsistent with what I saw and experienced at Uber, and I can no longer continue as president of the ride sharing business,” Jones said.

The ride Services Company has been rocked by different issues across the globe with claims that they're using a software to evade tax.

In Kenya, Uber drivers had protested of the fares being charged by the company alleging that they were being oppressed.

“They don’t want to deal with a group. They want to deal with drivers and partners individually so that they can easily oppress us, “one of the drivers protested.

After the protests by drivers, Uber agreed to increase their fares in Kenya by 20% in line with other cab services in the country.

“We believe driver-partners will earn more as a result of these changes and that riders will continue to enjoy access to a safe, affordable and reliable service,” the company said in a statement.
