Students block road over rising insecurity in Juja

The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has been shut down after students went on strike.

Students at the institution were demonstrating over rising insecurity in the area.

Police were called in and fired teargas canisters to disperse the students who were protesting an incident where a student was stabbed.

The university's administration announced that the school had been shut down indefinetly.

Students were ordered out of the institution's premises before 12pm on Monday, by the administration.
