Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has gotten a relief after he won an application to have his cash bail reduced in a case where he is charged with attempted murder of city deejay popularly known as DJ Evolve.

Babu's cash bail was reviewed downwards from Sh10m to Sh5m after he appealed a previous ruling by the magistrate's court.
Justice Kimaru further ruled that Babu would not be compelled to pay the deejay's medical bill - instead ruling that the MP was free to do so as a moral obligation.
In a highly criticized ruling, Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi had directed the Embaksi East MP's Sh10 million bail would be paid in four installments of Ksh.2.5 million for the next four months.

Andayi added that the legislator would be released after paying the first installment of Sh.2.5 million which would be used to pay for Dj Evolve's medical bill.
