NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka have both lost crucial seats in what was perceived as their strongholds.
President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee party managed to win crucial seats in their regions.
In Ukambani Kalonzo failed to stamp his authority as Jubilee and other parties garnered crucial seats.
In Machakos gubernatorial race, Wavinya Ndeti is currently trailing Governor Alfred Mutua in the race. Mutua has 244241 votes while wavinya 204928 votes.
In Machakos Town constituency, Jubilee’s Victor Munyaka won with 43,970 against Wiper’s Ulbanus Mutisya, who garnered 22,235 votes.
In Mwala, the incumbent, Vincent Musyoka, retained his seat with a Maendeleo Chap Chap party ticket to beat Wiper’s Daniel Muoki, who is a former area MP.
It’s in Western, which is considered NASA stronghold that has surprised many with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party winning eight of 33 parliamentary seats.
In Kakamega, Jubilee won four seats which include Mumias East, Navakholo, Malava, and Ikolomani seats.
On the other hand, ANC got five and ODM only one, while in 2013, Raila’s party had won six seats.
In Bungoma County,Jubilee won 4 seats which included Mt Elgon, Sirisia, Webuye West, and Kimilili while ODM was completely locked out of the region.

Despite losing influence in the perceived strongholds, President Uhuru Kenyatta is leading Odinga in the presidential race.
Kenyatta is currently leading with 8163572 votes against Odinga’s 6747099 votes.
