Waititu Takes Major Lead in Kiambu Race

Preliminary results for the Kiambu Gubernatorial race shows that the incumbent Governor William Kabogo could be sent home packing.

Kabogo’s key rival Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu has taken an early lead according to results tallied by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Results from 1,592 polling stations out of 1,963 showed that Waititu had already garnered 619,767 at the time of reporting.

Mr. Kabogo is second in the race with 164,940 votes.
