Kenyans react to DP Ruto’s midnight tweet on referendum

The internet never forgets!

Deputy President William Ruto

A few minutes before midnight on Saturday Deputy President William Ruto sent out a tweet saying his stand on the intense referendum debate.

In the tweet, DP Ruto said that Jubilee will not be diverted from delivering on its promises to Kenyans by referendum proposing groups Punguza mzigo and Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

He went on to say that the ruling party will also not be distracted by the politics of 2022, insisting that both teams should engage in honest conversations that are in the best interest of all Kenyans.

The JUBILEE administration will NOT be distracted from delivering on our manifesto & HE's big 4 plan by those engaged in the raging debate on Punguza mzigo, BBI or the 2022. They should be objective, truthful & conduct a honest conversation that is in the BEST INTEREST OF US ALL,” wrote the DP.

His words did, however, not settle well with Kenyans on Twitter some calling him out for being a liar because he has been campaigning for 2022. Others bashed DP Ruto for failing to deliver on promises they made to Kenyans from 2013 when they were first elected into office, even as others supported the DP’s sentiments.
