Mr Kenyatta firmly stated that all terrorist must be killed and buried once and for all.

The Head of State declared a major security operation in Lamu following the numerous attacks in the county.

Speaking in Lamu and Tana River counties where he was on a campaign trail, Mr Kenyatta highlighted that he was unapologetic about his decision to meet fire-with-fire in the war against terrorists.

He promised residents that the Kenya will bury the terrorist group.

Mr Kenyatta mentioned that he was saddened by last week's attack on Public Works Principal Secretary Mariam El-Maawy.

“Our citizens are losing their lives. Our security forces are losing their lives. My Principal Secretary was wounded here a few days ago. We have to deal with these terror mongers. I have no apologies to make in taking the tough measures were are taking," the President said.
