A suspect on Thursday night walked free after 14 police officers stormed Mandera police station in Mandera County.
The Administration Police officers (AP) attacked the station after a colleague of theirs named constable Richard Githaka Karanja was arrested over a suspected robbery with violence.
Police report indicated that the incident occurred in the presence of the officer commanding station (OCS) and several other police officers that were on duty.
The group which is posted at the Rapid Deployment Unit in Mandera Kapedo made their way to the station in full combat gear and begun shooting in the air.
Demand made at gun point
