On Monday, it was not any different as he delivered his speech during the opening of Sauti Kuu Foundation, an organization built by his own half-sister Auma Obama.
Starting off his speech with the usual greetings using the local language, Obama made remarkable statements that undoubtedly rejuvenated the hopes and dreams of those in attendance.
"Habari? Erokamano?" he said trying to find out how his audience was keeping up.

1. Hope
"When I looked around the Centre I saw something less concrete, it was not brick and motor. I saw possibility. The hope that we can become something bigger than we are," he said.
Obama mentioned this referring to the possibilities Auma’s Foundation is creating for the youth in his village.
He went on to encourage the youth of the great opportunities available in Kenya stating: "A young Kenyan does not do have to do what my grandfather did and serve a foreign master.

"A young Kenyan doesn’t have to do what my father did and leave home so that to get an education. There has been great progress in this amazing country," he said.
2. Tribal issues
He touched on tribalism as a hindrance to progress in the country urging Kenyans to embrace each other in order to work well.
"Real progress depends on addressing the challenges that remain. It means the seeing the diversity of tribe not as a weakness but strength," he said.
3. Inclusivity

Obama went on to touch on the importance of gender equity and equality. He emphasized the need for the Kenyan society to give male and female the same opportunity noting that it will help in its economic growth.
"The nation that gives our daughters the same opportunities as our sons it is likely to succeed," he said.
He urged the country’s leadership to ensure that resources are also well distributed among different communities.
4. Team Work
Obama, who was accompanied by several NBA players launched the basketball court, where he stressed the importance of teamwork.

"Even if you are the best player, your job is not to show off but to ensure your team plays well," he said.
