Kenyans furious after Bonnie Khalwale’s question to Obama

His question came after Obama left for South Africa

“Dear , I believe u have landed safely in South Africa, and hope that this finds u well. With tremendous respect Sir, can u tell us why while u were in the most powerful office (of the world’s biggest economy) u refused to bring development to ua home, Kenya?” read Khalwale’s tweet.

Bonnie Khalwale’s question came hours after Obama left Kenya for South Africa, after he successfully launched his half-sister Dr. Auma Obama’s NGO called ‘Sauti Kuu’ in his father’s home K’Ogello, in Siaya County.

Social media users did not take Bonnie Khalwale’s words lightly as some sided with him saying that he had genuine concerns.

Reactions;

@iankochomo So shameful Bonnie. Im so disappointed in you! Obama is an American with Kenyan roots; like you a Kenyan with Congo Forest roots. Obama owes kenya nothing! Likewise you owe Congolese nothing!

@NgoleSam Guy was not president of Kenya,and there is no budget in the USA for a sitting president to develop his native origin country,this handout mentality is sickening,nzuu syalea kusyaa siasyaa isua niyo yinaaie,mbaazi zisipo zaa zasingizia jua

@MacOtani Was he elected in AMERICA to develop KENYA?

@MukabanaJoe Bonny it's true, as a son of an African soil, @BarackObama failed us, he killed Gaddafi, after branding him a terrorist, and I will tell you and any other who cares to read this, Gaddafi was the ever best president Africa will ever get, leave alone Obama,...

@waluwande I am shocked to read that my good friend Boni believes that development can be "brought" or "send". People empower themselves; they develop themselves, through hard work and honesty.

@SewuBem The only thing that could be brought was legalized same-sex marriage and he did brought it to Kenya, as for development nix!

@TrottoirRadio You were very poignant about the gay story as an achievement and all the negativity gathered from online sources

@MKJohn254 I agree, but he is one of us or he claims to be. There are many people who have done big things in Kenya even though they are not Kenyans. The guy just comes to launch a project launched by his sister, I mean. Surely really? Disappointed in him.

@kot_hacker It’s like someone was to ask you why till now you are yet to take any development to the Congo forest where your ancestors came from as a Bantu.

@ListerNyaringo I agree with @KBonimtetezi. Opening a resource center in a village isn’t something to praise obama for. He had massive influence to tilt business opportunities to Kenya but he did zero.

@BenjiNdolo Senator ndugu, wacha hizo. Mr Obama is a solid, genuine, honorable man...a fantastic and kind human being who grew up without a dad. Stop the nonsense for God's sake! Thank you.
