Parent slapped by Headteacher for seeking refund for excess payment

The parent was slapped and ordered out of school.

A parent at Brilliant Primary School was on Wednesday morning slapped by the school Headteacher, when she went to school in an attempt to seek a refund for the excess money paid for child’s school trip.

The parent, according to , was pursuing the money, which she would have used to buy a tracksuit for the child as was required by the school. It remains unclear if the parent was slapped in front of the child.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested and is currently at Kikuyu Police Station, in Kiambu County. The teacher reportedly became infuriated saying he could not understand her request.

The parent was ordered out of school after she was embarrassingly slapped, in an incident which left teachers at the private institution based in Gikambura area of Kikuyu shocked.

Other parents later staged a demonstration outside the institution in Kiambu County, calling for the immediate transfer of the Headteacher. The teacher is set to appear in court for assault charges.
