A shocking new development has emerged a day after Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s night club was burnt down in a mysterious fire.
A charred body was found in the debris of the Casurina Club in Buruburu Estate in Nairobi.
The shocking new discovery now brings to two the number of people who have died from the Monday inferno.
The first body which was found soon after the fire was put out was identified as a Mr Kilunda aged 45-years.
“I serve a very faithful God. My God never lets me down. RIP Kilunda,” Sonko’s posted on his social media page.
Police have launched investigations into the incident which occurred when the workers were closing the premises.
Speculation was rife across social media that the fire might have been the work of arson by the Governor’s political enemies.
Former Kamukunji MP Simon Mbugua who is a close associate of Sonko linked the fire to City Hall cartels that have been frustrated by the reforms introduced by the new Nairobi boss.
“City hall cartels should know people! This action will make Governor Sonko even more vicious towards collecting revenue in the County. Burning one his property is like a storm in a tea cup. Team God first,” Mbugua warned.
