Jeff Koinange’s shameful question to Atwoli leaves Kenyans disgusted

Was this out of line?

Koinange, who was hosting Atwoli on his JKL show, tried to make the COTU boss speak about his sexual prowess on Live TV.

This conversation was sparked by a recent article on the Nairobian where KTN news anchor Mary Kilobi admitted that she was Atwoli's third wife and she loves him to death.

During the show, Atwoli did not deny his involvement with Ms. Kilobi and even went on to explain how they first met.

However, the show went horribly wrong when Koinange, in his usual casual manner, probed whether the 69-year-old was still able to handle bedroom matters.

"But she is half your age…Kazi bado unafanya, katiba bado unasoma?" Koinange said while laughing.

To seemingly play into the moment, Atwoli nodded to his question by stating "Kazi bado nafanya mbaya sana na Katiba lazima nisome."

But the questioning did not end there, the second time Jeff said: "And once again in case somebody missed this, kazi bado unaweza?"

This time around Atwoli openly evaded the question noting that his “sexual prowess” – which Koinange was alluding to - was not the main point during the discussion.

"That is not part of it actually, that is part of life and it is just like communication in life. It is not a matter of coming out openly and saying this is what we are doing. The most important part is the commitment," Atwoli said.

Interestingly Jeff was not convinced by Atwoli’s answer and went on to probe for the third time.

"No, no come on unawea hiyo kazi?" Jeff persisted.

At this point, Atwoli decided to put a stop to Mr. Koinange’s further probe by reminding him that his own sons could be watching the program.

"But we have to keep in mind that so many people are watching and it includes some of my sons, children. But when you come to Kajiado ask me,” Atwoli said with a laugh.

After this unpleasant moment, a section of the public expressed their sentiments of disgust on social media.
