ODM leader killed in grisly accident
David Odhiambo Churchill was among over 30 people who perished during the early morning accident.
ODM Executive Director Oduor Ong’wen divulged the sad news on Monday while passing condolences to the family.
“We wish his family the fortitude and presence of mind to go this traumatic experience. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement read in part.
According to Mr. Ong’wen Churchill was the pillar of the Orange Party not only at Lucky Summer and Ruaraka Constituency but in Nairobi at large.
"He was visible and inspiring in the manner he coordinated our presidential campaign in his sub-branch in the run-up to August 8 elections," Ong'wen said.
The horrific accident at Migaa saw the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) ban night travel on all long distance Public Service Vehicles (PSV).
In a statement NTSA said: "All travels must be scheduled to take place between 6am and 7pm. We assure the public that all is being done to address the upsurge of fatal crashed across the country."
