Residents of Kahawa Wendani were involved in fracas with Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu as he led a demolition process of kiosks.
Waititu also repossessed public toilets in the bus station where the demolition took place.
The owners of the demolished kiosks were charging residents who were using the toilet and not submitting the money to the county government which rightly owns the toilet.
The youth claimed that it was targeted harassment by Waititu's administration as their only sources of income had been taken away. They have vowed to seek revenge.
According to Citizen Kenya the residents accused the county government of seeking extra land thereby demolishing the kiosks to expand the stage.
The county administration denied this.
Police and county inspectorate officers were deployed to maintain peace and order.
