Francis Mburu, man at the centre of Shh3.2 billion Ruaraka land probe was on Wednesday morning arrested at his home in Nairobi.
His arrest comes two days after Education CS Amb Amina Mohamed faulted her predecessor Dr Fred Matiang’i (now Interior) for speedy payment of Sh1.5 billion to the business mogul, without following due process.
Mr Mburu hit headlines last week when he was summoned by the EACC for grilling on the Ruaraka Land saga, which lasted over 14 hours at the Integrity Centre in Nairobi.

He would later storm out of EACC headquarters and claim that the Government was out to scuttle his investments, vowing to sue for over Sh30billion in compensation. Nairobi City County, too, claimed ownership of land.
The land in question in where Ruaraka High School and Drive-inn Primary School are situated.
The two schools currently have no title deeds to the parcels they occupy, the Lands CS Farida Karoney told parliament earlier.
In a recent development, businessman Francis Mburu has come out claiming that the land belongs to him.
