Government declares Friday Public Holiday

Matiang'i announced on Tuesday

In a statement from the Interior and Coordination of Government Ministry, CS Fred Matiang’i has declared Friday 15 June a public holiday.

“In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Holidays Act, Friday the 15 June 2018 shall be a Public Holiday in order to accord all Kenyans and persons who profess the Islamic Faith the opportunity to make preparations to mark IDD-UL-FITR on Saturday, 16 June 2018”. Said the Gazette Notice.
