Questions after Sh40 million heroin package was discovered at JKIA’s most secure area

The drugs had been concealed as Kericho Gold Tea

The package, estimated to have a street value of Sh40 million, was discovered lying unattended at the KLM airside and was reported to have been destined for Amsterdam.

The drugs had been concealed as Kericho Gold tea.

Media reports indicate that at least one official working at the busy airport has been arrested over the drug burst.

The Standard reported sources indicating that the package was intentionally not loaded onto the cargo plane after a fall out between some members of a drug cartel operating in Nairobi.
