Details have now emerged on how a prominent Nakuru tycoon was murdered in a plan allegedly orchestrated by his wife and mother of his four children.
Julius Kimani was abducted on December 1st after leaving his Kim Nets business. His lifeless body was discovered the next at a Nakuru cemetery with a deep head injury.
Police investigations have now pointed to Kimani’s wife Gladys Wambui Kimani as the mastermind of the brutal murder.
Police detectives have used recordings of numerous telephone call records, detailed CCTV clips and confession statements as part of their evidence in the criminal trial that started on Tuesday.
According to the prosecution, Wambui was assisted by three accomplices, one of them a female employee of the deceased businessman.
Police evidence further shows that the employee identified as a Rahab Mukenyi, worked with her boyfriend Alex Muhonja and another suspect James Mwaura to carry out the crime.
The three were later to receive Sh1.2 million from Kimani’s wife. All the three suspects will be arraigned at the Nakuru High Court on January 17 when they are expected to take respective pleas.
