Two people were killed on Tuesday in a grisly road accident on the Kitale-Lodwar Highway.
The accident involved a lorry which overturned transporting sorghum at the Kamatira blackspot on the busy highway.
The lorry was transporting relief food with the World Food Program to Turkana County.
The injured were rushed to the Kapenguria County Hospital.
Confirming the incident, West Pokot Traffic Commander Elijah Teeka said the brakes of the lorry failed, causing it to roll over.
The accident came just a day after four people were killed in another road accident on the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
Eleven others were injured in the Monday accident that occurred at Salama area.
The dawn accident involved a a lorry and a PSV matatu on the busy Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
