Former National Assembly Speaker Kenneth Marende has refuted claims that his rural home was being used by the Jubilee Party to rig upcoming repeat Polls.
Reports doing rounds on social media had indicated that, his rural home in Vihiga was being used by people hired by Jubilee to stuff boxes with already- marked ballot Papers.
According to Marende, he just learnt through the media that the first batch of ballot papers for Thursday Election arrived in the country from Dubai on Saturday Night.
"I have no connections with the presidential election slated for Octbober 26.If you look at my home, is there any part of it that I can use to assemble people to mark ballot papers” said Marende during a presser at his home.
The social media reports lad alleged that the ballot papers were being marked by Jubilee affiliated people who had bought national identity cards from Vihiga residents for Ksh5000 each.

He added that those linking him with the ballot staffing are doing so to tarnish his reputation and turn his area against him.
“My home is Vihiga is not near Nairobi. These are Just rumours which are aimed at painting me in bad light."
