Former legislator dies in grisly accident

The cause of the accident is not yet known.

Former Kakamega County legislator Mohammed Khaoma Muliache has passed on after a nasty accident.

The former councillor of Bunyala Central Ward of Navakholo Constituency, Kakamega County, passed on in tragic accident on Friday, according to Ford Kenya deputy party leader Boni Khalwale.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the wife, children, friends & relatives of Hon Khaoma, former MCA of Bunyala Central in Navakholo, Kakamega following his tragic death occasioned by a road accident,” said Khalwale on Twitter.

The legislator vied on United Democratic Forum (UDF) party ticket in 2013 but lost the seat in 2017.

Details have emerged that the former counsellor was hit while on a motorcycle few days ago with another unidentified person, and was later amputated at a hospital in Kakamega. He passed on at 2am on Friday in Kakamega County.
