Chaos breaks out at Multimedia University [Photos]
Students blocked Magadi road
The demonstration paralysed transport on the road for the better part of Monday morning after the students barricaded the Magadi Road with stones as they protested over graft at the institution.
In September last year a section of the road outside the university was rendered inaccessible by the protesting students. It took the intervention of the police for the demonstrations to be called off.
The students complained about lack of water, bedbug infestation, infighting between the school's leadership, and poor basic amenities.
The students' association complained of 'laxity by the administration' in tackling issues affecting students and urged the then CS of Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to intervene.
