The Nairobi County Assembly has been adjourned indefinitely following an outbreak of Covid-19 among members.
In a statement on Tuesday, Speaker Benson Mutura confirmed that more than 40 Members of County Assembly (MCAs) had tested positive for the infection.
He added that two of the infected MCAs were admitted in hospitals and on supplemental oxygen support.
The assembly was set to resume sittings on Tuesday after a two-week recess.
