"It is illegal to watch that film" DP Ruto's tough warning to Kenyans on Kirinyaga DG's video

Ruto speaks out.

Ruto also cautioned Kenyans against watching the ‘film’ as it had not been approved by the Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB).

"The devil is a very bad man. The kind of damage the devil can cause with an idle mind is great," Ruto said in his address on Thursday, during the closure of the 5th Annual Devolution Conference in Kakamega.

"Keep the devil from engaging idle minds in your offices because you have kept your deputies jobless ... This is really risky," he said to a deafening laughter.

He added: "[This is so that] the devil does not have space to drive any evil agenda. I am not being specific on any situation. In fact I want to caution you that its unlawful to watch films that have not been sanctioned by the Kenya Film Classification Board.”

"Any reference to any films that were not authorised is reference to illegal material. We should all keep to the lawful end."

Ruto is one of several leaders who turned cheeky at the conference in apparent reference to Ndambiri's video.

On Wednesday evening, however, Mr Ndambiri maintained that he is focused on his family and his electorates despite the shameful video in which he was filmed naked with a woman, in a compromising situation.

In a statement read to the press on Wednesday, the Deputy Governor equally apologized to his wife and children and people of Kirinyaga for the nasty video which he blamed on extortionists.

“I have apologized to my wife of many years who has always been my solid rock. I have denigrated her womanhood and made her the laughing stock of many.

"I have sought her forgiveness and I will work hard to earn back her trust. I have let my children down. They have always looked up to me for inspiration and direction. I have caused them untold embarrassment and agony.

“I would like to take this opportunity to get ahead of the video and story in circulation. Right now what matters most is my family and my people of Kirinyaga who look up to me for guidance. To them, I say sorry,” he said.

He added: “I do not know the woman nor do I have a relationship with her, I was set up after I refused to part with Ksh.5 million."
