60-seater bus crashes, dozen injured

Two people have perished in the accident.

A 60-seater bus headed to Moyale crashed on Tuesday, killing two people.

The bus crashed at Subuiga blackspot in Timau, Meru County, killing two and injuring 15.

Confirming the Tuesday morning fatal crash, Buuri OCPD Joseph Obara said the driver lost control of the vehicle which had 60 passengers.

Fifteen passengers, who incurred slight injuries in the Tuesday morning crash were taken to Kiirua Mission Hospital where they were treated and discharged, Mr Kibara said.

“We have not yet confirmed how many were seriously injured because they were taken to hospital by well-wishers,” Mr Kihara told the press.

Those with serious injuries were taken to Isiolo Mission Hospital.
