Reports have revealed that the ward MCA, Mark Ekale passed away after a short illness.
The County Assembly Speaker Matthew Loltome confirmed Mr Ekale's demise saying that the cause of death was yet to be established.
Ekale is said to have been in Mombasa County together with his colleagues for the Lapfund summit.
According to reports, Ekale, together with other Ward Representatives were at a beach in Mombasa before he complained of being in pain.
Eulogized by leaders
He was pronounced dead after arrivalat the Prima Hospital in Mombasa.
Labor CS and former Governor of Marsabit County Ukur Yatani sent his condolences to the family and friends of Mr Ekale.
"I am deeply saddened by the passing on of Loiyangalani MCA Hon Mark Ekale this Evening in Mombasa.Mark was an Enthusiastic,always Jovial and a leader who never hesitated to contribute positively to the society," Mr Yatani said.
"He always treasured his family, friends and committed himself to bettering the lives of his constituents.He will be remembered for his wisdom, sobriety and humility. May God grant his Soul Eternal Peace," he added.
