A Nanyuki court on Monday ruled to detain Major Peter Mugure ho is accused of murdering his wife Joyce Syombua and their two children.
The army man has also been sacked by KDF

The suspect was arraigned in court where public prosecutor Peter Mailanyi argued that further investigations needed to be carried out.
Chief Magistrate Lucy Mutai granted a 21-day incarceration for Major Mugure who has since been relieved of his duties by the army.
A second suspect believed to have been Mugure's accomplice, one Mr Collins Pamba was also presented in court though he as not represented by a lawyer.
Shallow graves
The bodies of Syombua, 10-year-old Shanice and five-year-old Prince Michael were found buried in shallow graves in Thingithu estate in Nanyuki town.
It has since emerged that the suspect had been ordered by the courts to provide Sh75,000 upkeep for the to children since he and Syombua were separated.
Syombua's family confirmed that they had filed missing persons reports for the three after they lost communication with them.
About three weeks ago, the three traveled from Nairobi to Nanyuki to visit Mugure after he invited them to celebrate the daughter's birthday with him.
