Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho is in mourning following the death of his Mr. Francis Kombe who he described as a personal friend.

Joho took to the social media on Saturday evening to mourn the deceased, condoling with the family and friends.
“I lost a personal friend and one of the most committed and selfless officer in my Government.” Joho wrote.
Joho eulogized Kombe who served as the Mombasa County Environment Chief Officer as “one of the most committed and selfless officer in my Government”.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing on of my Environment Chief Officer the late Mr. Francis Kombe.
“My condolences to his family, friends and the people of Mombasa. May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace.” Joho wrote.
The deceased passed on barely three months after he was moved from the Water ministry to the environment docket in a reshuffle done on 25 June 2019.
