Wahome, who is also the Kandara MP, sensationally claimed that Nyoro was being persecuted for supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential bid.
She added that Interior PS Karanja Kibicho had allegedly held a meeting at the home of a senior businessman in Murang’a where a plan was hatched to fight Nyoro and Wahome – by any means necessary including assassination.
On Monday, Wahome said the PS texted her last night, shortly after she had made the allegations at a live press conference.
“I actually got a text message from him last night and he told me he has his rights and that I should not talk about him in that manner,” Wahome said on Monday morning.
The Kandara MP said her comments were not against the person of the PS Kibicho but in his capacity as Interior PS.
“The PS and his minister are accountable for our security. I made those comments not against him in a personal capacity but by virtue of his office,” she said.
Wahome’s client, Nyoro, was on Sunday involved in an ugly altercation during a church service attended by members of the Kieleweke team that was led by nominated MP Maina Kamanda.
Police later attempted to arrest the Kiharu MP outside Royal Media Services headquarters before Nyoro eventually allowed to leave the offices as a free man.
