The only two people Biwott wanted to meet before his death

It can now be revealed that the late Nicholas Biwott had planned to meet....

Just before his demise, it is said that the Nicholas Biwott wanted to meet two senior people in the government to discuss his vast business empire.

His long-time Personal Assistant William Chepkut on Wednesday revealed that Total Man, as he was popularly known, wanted to meet National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his Energy counterpart Charles Keter.

Mr. Chepkut said that the once powerful Cabinet minister wanted to discuss some “undisclosed issues” regarding his vast investments in the country.

Likewise, Mr Chepkut stated that the late Biwott was also planning a meeting with former President Daniel arap Moi.

Mr Biwott, a close confidant of Mr Moi, played a key part in edging out Jomo Kenyatta’s brokers, some of whom were viewed as threat to Daniel Moi’s presidency.

Biwott died on Tuesday, July 11 at the Nairobi hospital after a long illness.

The 77 year-old was a business mogul and ranked among Kenya’s wealthiest individuals. he owned vast properties including Yaya Centre, HZ Group of Companies, LZ Engineering, Lima Kenya (which he co-owns with Mr Moi), Premier Group of companies and Kobil Petroleum, among others.

His burial is set to take place on Thursday, July 20 at his home in Tot village, Chebior sub-location.
