A court in Nyeri on Friday released three Dusit terror attack suspects after the Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) closed the file saying probe did not reveal links to the incident.

Mr Abdul Kibiringi, Mr James Mwai Mwangi and Ms Habiba Gedi Hunshur were arrested on suspicion of conspiring with Al Shabaab terrorists who attacked the Dusit Hotel Complex earlier this month.

Kibiringi is the father to one of the attackers.

The initial investigations show the suspects have a link to other suspects in the attack at Dusit hotel. Police are waiting for call logs data to finalise the investigations,” ATPU initially told Nyeri Resident Magistrate Nelly Kariuki.
