Less than a week after a university student was hacked to death, a 30-year-old woman is admitted at the Karatina Subcounty Hospital after suffering 17 stab wounds.

According to Citizen Digital, Peninah Wangeci and her husband, Samuel Ndirangu, had an altercation on Tuesday that ended in the life-threatening injuries.

She claims that their marriage has been in turmoil and it was not the first time her husband had assaulted her.

The shocking incident called for police investigations even as Mr Ndirangu surrendered.

Mr Kinuthia claimed that he was infuriated by 24-year-old Ms Wangechi who refused to pick his phone calls despite him having sent her money for her birthday.

The incident has sparked debates as one journalist was suspended and a radio presenter bashed for their views on the subject.
