Controversial televangelist James Ng'ang'a

Controversial televangelist James Ng'ang'a was charged with incitement to violence and threatening to the director of strategy and innovation at Royal Media Services, Linus Kaikai.

The preacher was asked to part with Ksh200,000 cash bail or a Ksh300,000 bond for his release when he appeared before a Kiambu Court on Tuesday morning.

Pastor Ng'ang'a had been arrested on Sunday at his church after Mr Kaikai filed an official complaint with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Rogue preachers

Mr Kaikai seemed to irk Pastor Ng'ang'a after the former criticized rogue preachers who have been using the word of God to dupe their followers.

The controversial pastor took to Facebook where he released a video attacking Mr Kaikai for his sentiments to have the preachers regulated by the State.

In the video clip, Pastor Ng'ang'a issued threats and warned Mr Kaikai of unknown consequences if he did not stop calling for the regulation of preachers.

If you’ve decided to cross Pastor Ng’ang’a’s line, my friend you will face the consequences. You will have to run),” the preacher said.

"Separate preaching na hii sarakasi za news anchor, nakwambia tu kijana. If you don't stop you will face the consequences (Separate preaching with the circus of a news anchor, I'm telling you young man.)," he added.

The Neno Evangelism preacher is not new to the court corridors where he has ruling pending after he was charged with conspiracy to defeat justice, causing death by dangerous driving, giving false information, and failing to report an accident.
