A brief seen by Pulse Live outlined that Police Constable Benjamin Kahindi Changawa and Stanley Okoti were found guilty of murder of the three persons, who at the time, were believed to be robbery suspects.
The Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) investigated the incident that occured on October 7, 2014 and recommended action by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
Murder Charges
"IPOA concluded investigations and recommended to the DPP, murder charges and on April 27, 2015, the DPP concurred with IPOA's recommendations.
"Consequently, today (Wednesday) Justice S. N. Mutuku has sentenced the two police constables to death having found them guilty earlier this month," the brief from IPOA read in part.
The constables murdered Administration Police Constable Joseph Obong'o who was attached to the late Bomachoge legislator Joel Onyancha.
They also murdered his two relatives Amos Okenye and Geoffrey Mogoi who were with him in Kangemi, Nairobi.
